The "Underdawg" Experiment: How We Rocked Our First College Fest

The "Underdawg" Experiment: How We Rocked Our First College Fest

You know that feeling when you finally take your online dream into the real world? It’s terrifying, but also… electric.

From January 7th to 9th, JUGRRNAUT's MIRACLE (Juggernaut's Miracle) stepped out from behind the screen and set up a pop-up shop at Malini Kishor Sanghvi's Crescendo fest in Juhu.

We weren't just a stall, we were the official clothing partner. It was kinda emotional for me to experience this fest for the first time, even though I'm from the same college.

If you’ve ever thought about doing a pop-up for your small business, or if you just want to know what goes down behind the scenes of a clothing brand pop-up experience, here is exactly how it went. No filters, just the real vibe.

The Vibe Check: Juhu Energy

First off, the energy at MKS was insane. I went in thinking I’d be stressed about sales, but the moment the music started, something shifted. I realized that IRL (in real life) events aren't just about transactions; they are about energy.

I ended up dancing to the DJ more than I stood behind the counter. I shared my food with random people, cracked jokes with the stall owners next to us, and just soaked it in.

Being "chill" wasn't a strategy; it was just me being present. And guess what? People gravitate toward positive energy. When you’re having fun, customers want to be part of that fun.

More Than Just Selling Clothes

We did something close to my heart during this fest. We launched our first "Underdawg Support Program."

The idea is simple: use our platform to lift others up. We featured a small crochet business at our stall completely for free. We gave her the space, the publicity, and the hype. Seeing her happy, making connections, and loving the experience was honestly the highlight of the event for me.

We also featured my cousin’s business. He crushed it! He made sales, but more importantly, he walked away with a new level of confidence in his products. (Side note: He’s opening a retail store in Lokhandwala, Andheri West soon, watch this space!)

It proved that JUGRRNAUT's MIRACLE is more than a clothing brand; it’s a stage for underdogs to rise together.

The Drop: Women’s Party Wear

We took a risk and launched our very first Women’s Party Wear collection at the fest. You never know how a new product will land until you see a customer hold it in their hands.

The verdict? So. Good.

The reviews were great, and the pricing worked out perfectly. But the best part was the feedback. Listening to what girls actually looked for in party wear gave us crucial data that we could never get from an Instagram poll.

Lessons Learned (The Real Talk)

I walked away with a few sales, but I drove home with a long-term customer base and a notebook full of lessons. If you’re planning your first pop-up, here is what I learned:

  1. Display is Everything: People buy with their eyes first. How you fold a t-shirt or hang a dress changes its perceived value.

  2. Ask for Reviews the Right Way: Don't just ask "Did you like it?" Ask "How does it feel?" or "Where would you wear this?" It builds a conversation, not just a transaction.

  3. Community Over Competition: The other sponsors and stallmates weren't rivals; they were connections. We supported them, they supported us. That’s how you grow.

  4. Authenticity Wins: I didn't try to be a "salesman." I was just myself - dancing, eating, chatting. People bought the vibe as much as they bought the clothes.

What’s Next?

This pop-up proved that we are on the right track. I promise to do more of these events. I love being present, spreading love, and sharing genuine moments with strangers who turn into friends.

To everyone who stopped by, danced with us, or supported the "Underdawg" initiative- thank you.

This is just the beginning.

Stay Tuned.
