Pac-Man, RCB, and Diet Coke: The Unplanned Rise of JUGRRNAUT Customs

Pac-Man, RCB, and Diet Coke: The Unplanned Rise of JUGRRNAUT Customs

Sometimes the best business moves are the ones you never actually planned. Up until now, I've kept a massive part of our brand totally under wraps. Today, I’m finally talking about it: our custom design lab.

If you had told me a year ago that custom tees would be a massive part of our growth, I wouldn't have believed you. I've worked my time off for months building this brand, planning every drop, collection and designs. But sometimes, an external factor just steps in and rewrites the rules.

Here is the story of how a gift for a friend's sister turned into 17 custom orders, a bunch of trust, and a whole new territory for us.

It Started With A Favor

The very first custom wasn't some grand business strategy. It was a favor. A dear friend wanted to gift his sister something special, and I couldn't say no. I was nervous as hell, but we made it happen: a custom silicone rubber sticker that just said "BLACK" with cartoon characters engraved right into it. (This was an readymade accessory). It was a simple gift, but it sparked something.

The next thing I made was a Pac-Man tee. I sourced a Pac-Man accessory as a sample from China and added a back print of the iconic Pac-Man maze. It was my first proper custom design garment. But when it came together, I realized I wanted to keep going.

After that came Naruto. Then RCB's iconic 49 all out scoreboard, honoring the 2017 IPL match where KKR reduced RCB to just 49 runs at Eden Gardens, a scorecard so painful it became folklore. Then a Sir Looundry meme tee, because some moments are too good not to wear. And, a State of Trance Artist tee, this was my personal favorite one, and took me 2 hours to design them the perfect one.

The Agency Pivot

Things got serious when another friend asked me to outfit his agency. We sourced a custom-made, wrinkle-free fabric specifically for them (I’ll drop a whole separate blog and IG video on how we sourced this fabric and why later). He asked for two more for his teammates. We delivered. That’s when the traction really hit. People realized we weren't just printing funny memes; we were delivering premium, functional fits.

The Diet Coke Boom

Tbh I didn't see coming. My cousin from the Brohood Retail Store asked me for a Diet Coke custom. Simple enough. Except timing is everything, the Diet Coke shortage was in full swing, with supply chain disruptions, aluminium can shortages, and surging demand leaving shelves empty across Indian metros including Mumbai.

The can had become a cultural moment. I turned his Pinterest mood board into a design on an all-white custom tee, and it just took off.

Fourteen people have since ordered that exact same pair of designs. Same white tee. Every time.

I've been putting in the work for years, and then one cultural moment, something completely outside my control, changes the trajectory overnight. That's the part that keeps this interesting.

The Official-Unofficial Announcement

I’ve never made this open to the public until now. So, I’ve decided to stop keeping this a secret.

If you want those 2 specific Diet Coke designs, you can officially order them now. But keeping with tradition (no copyright infringement issues), they aren't listed on the main store pages. To get them, just DM us on Instagram or hit the little inbox chat icon on the bottom right of the website.

Another thing: people have been sliding into my DMs asking to buy just our premium blanks for their own projects. Selling blanks was never meant to be the main part of Juggernaut, which is why you won't find a "buy blanks" page on our site.

But I see the demand, and for this community, yes, I do make those too. If you need them, the process is exactly the same, just DM or use the inbox icon.

I'm saying all of this now because it felt like the right time to say it. Not as a launch, not as a campaign, just as a true account of how something small and genuine has been building in the background for a while.

Create Your Own Tee

This has always been about making something real. If you have a design in your head, an idea, a moment worth wearing, bring it. You get to show your style. We get to build it with you. That's the whole thing.

DM on Instagram or use the inbox on the bottom right. Let's make something together.
